1. Agreement
By purchasing or downloading any product from Rubedo Ventures, LLC (“Rubedo Ventures,” “we,” “us”), you (“you,” “the customer”) agree to these Terms of Sale. These Terms are linked from the checkout page and from every page of this site. If you do not agree, do not purchase.
These Terms apply alongside our Privacy Policy.
1.1 Paddle is the seller of record. Payments for our products are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd as merchant of record. That means Paddle — not Rubedo Ventures — is the seller on your transaction, handles the payment, is responsible for the tax on it, and administers refunds and payment disputes. At checkout you accept Paddle’s Buyer Terms, which govern the payment itself.
1.2 How the two sets of terms fit together. Paddle’s Buyer Terms govern the transaction. These Terms govern the product — what you are licensed to do with the books, the educational-not-advice position, and the limits of our liability. Where the two conflict on your rights as a buyer, the terms more favourable to you apply, and nothing here reduces any right Paddle’s Buyer Terms or your local consumer law give you.
2. What you are buying
The Financial Blueprint is a collection of six digital books supplied as PDF files. There is no physical product and nothing is shipped.
- Book One is offered free of charge and requires no payment or card details. It is provided so you can evaluate the material before buying anything.
- Books Two to Six may be bought individually, or together as the complete six-book collection at a lower total price. These are the paid products. We will never represent a paid book as free.
Delivery is electronic and immediate. Your download links are shown on the confirmation page as soon as your payment completes, and each link is personal to your purchase. There is nothing to ship and no waiting period.
If you lose your links or close the page before downloading, contact [email protected] and we will re-issue them at no charge once we can verify the purchase. Your download links do not expire. Each link allows a limited number of downloads, so please save the files rather than re-downloading them — if a link stops working, we will issue a fresh one.
You are responsible for providing a working email address at checkout, since that is how we identify your order when you ask for help.
3. Prices and taxes
Prices are stated in US dollars and are shown at checkout before you pay. Where we are required to collect value-added tax, goods and services tax, or sales tax based on your location, that amount is calculated and displayed at checkout and added to the price shown.
You are responsible for any customs, import, or bank charges your own institution applies.
4. Refunds
Refunds are administered by Paddle, as the seller of record on your transaction (section 1.1), under Paddle’s Buyer Terms and its refund policy. We do not override those rights and could not do so if we wanted to.
What that means in practice. Depending on where you live, you may have a statutory right to cancel a digital purchase:
- European Union, EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland — a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts.
- Canada, Brazil and South Korea — a 7-day unconditional cancellation right.
- Singapore — a 5-day unconditional cancellation right.
- Everywhere else — Paddle may issue a refund at its own discretion, generally within 14 days of purchase.
These are summaries, not the full legal position, and the list may change as Paddle’s policy or the law changes. The governing text is Paddle’s Buyer Terms, and the highest level of rights available to you always applies. Where your local law gives you a stronger right than anything described here, that stronger right wins.
Our own position. Because the books are delivered in full the moment you pay, we do not operate a separate discretionary refund scheme of our own on top of the rights above. We would rather you never needed one — which is why Book One is free and always will be. It is the same voice, the same standard and the same format as the five paid books, published so you can judge the material properly before spending anything.
If something is actually wrong, we fix it. Your statutory rights in respect of content that is faulty, materially not as described, or not delivered are unaffected by anything in these Terms. If a file is corrupt, a download fails, you were charged twice, or you received something other than what you bought, contact [email protected] and we will put it right — by re-delivery, or by asking Paddle to refund you.
5. Chargebacks
If you have any problem with your purchase, contact [email protected] first. We respond to every message and can usually resolve delivery problems within minutes.
Because Paddle is the seller of record, payment disputes are raised with and handled by Paddle, and Paddle decides them under its own policy and the card network rules.
Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us, in circumstances where no refund is due, is a breach of these Terms. In response to a dispute we can provide the records we actually hold: the Paddle transaction record, and our own delivery log — when access was granted, when each download link was issued, and when it was used. We may decline future sales to any account that files a dispute we determine to be unfounded.
6. Licence and permitted use
Your purchase grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to read and use the content for your own individual purposes.
You may not:
- copy, resell, rent, sublicense, distribute, or publicly post the books or any substantial part of them;
- upload them to file-sharing, torrent, cloud-sharing, or “free download” sites;
- share your download links or files with people who have not purchased;
- use the content to create a competing or derivative product, or to train a machine learning model;
- remove or obscure any copyright or attribution notice.
All content — the text of each book, the cover artwork, and the Rubedo Ventures and The Financial Blueprint names and marks — remains our intellectual property and is protected by copyright. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to you. Breach of this section terminates your licence immediately and may result in legal action.
7. Education, not advice
All content is provided for educational and informational purposes only. It is not financial, investment, trading, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and no advisory or fiduciary relationship is created between us.
- Rubedo Ventures is not a licensed financial adviser, broker-dealer, or registered investment adviser, and is not registered with or supervised by any financial regulator.
- Nothing in our products, emails, or social media constitutes a recommendation, solicitation, or offer to buy, sell, or hold any security, asset, or financial instrument.
- The content is general in nature and takes no account of your personal circumstances, objectives, or financial position.
- Before acting on anything you read, do your own research and consult a professional licensed in your jurisdiction.
8. No guarantee of results
Trading and investing carry substantial risk, including the total loss of the money you commit. We make no promise, guarantee, or projection of any income, profit, return, or other outcome. Past performance does not indicate future results. Any result you obtain depends on your own decisions, effort, discipline, skill, capital, and circumstances — all outside our knowledge and control. You alone are responsible for your financial decisions and their consequences.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, interfere with the delivery of our products to others, submit false information at checkout, use another person's payment method without authority, or use our products for any unlawful purpose.
10. Third-party services
We use established third parties to run parts of this service — currently Paddle as merchant of record for checkout, payment, tax and disputes; Cloudflare for website hosting, storage of your purchase record, and network security; MailerLite for the free Book One list; and Zoho for our support mailbox. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for outages, errors, or acts of third parties, though we will work with you in good faith to resolve any resulting problem.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Rubedo Ventures, LLC and its members, managers, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost data, or trading or investment losses, arising out of or relating to our products or these Terms, whether based in contract, tort, or any other theory, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to our products or these Terms will not exceed the amount you actually paid us for the product giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rubedo Ventures, LLC and its members, managers, and agents from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the content, or your infringement of the rights of any third party.
13. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if higher, to purchase. Our products are not directed to children. By purchasing, you confirm you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
14. Disputes and arbitration
14.1 Talk to us first. Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to contact [email protected] and describe the problem, and to allow us 30 days to resolve it informally. Most issues are resolved this way.
14.2 Binding arbitration. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you and Rubedo Ventures agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or our products will be resolved by final and binding arbitration, rather than in court, administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration will be conducted in Cumberland County, North Carolina, or by telephone, videoconference, or documents only, at your election. The arbitrator's award may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
14.3 Class-action waiver. You and Rubedo Ventures agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of representative proceeding. If this paragraph is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim shall proceed in court and the remainder of section 14 shall continue to apply to all other claims.
14.4 Small claims. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court instead of arbitration, provided the claim qualifies and remains in that court.
14.5 Your right to opt out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement and the class-action waiver by emailing [email protected] with the subject line “Arbitration Opt-Out” and your name and order details within 30 days of your purchase. Opting out will not affect your purchase or any other part of these Terms.
14.6 Consumers outside the United States. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction whose law gives you a non-waivable right to bring proceedings in your local courts or before a consumer body, section 14 does not deprive you of that right.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to section 14, the state and federal courts located in Cumberland County, North Carolina have exclusive jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer resident outside the United States, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of your country of residence.
16. Changes and general terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the moment of your purchase governs that purchase, and changes are never applied retroactively to completed orders. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above.
If any provision is held unenforceable, it will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue in full force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us regarding your purchase, and supersede any prior discussion. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
What you are agreeing to, in plain words
You are at least 18. You have read these Terms of Sale and our Privacy Policy. You understand this is educational material and not financial advice, and not a guarantee of any result. You are buying a licence to read the books yourself, not to share or resell them. Your payment is handled by Paddle as the seller of record, and your refund and cancellation rights are whatever Paddle’s terms and your own local law give you — we do not reduce them.
